Kathmandu, April 24: Three separate earthquakes jolted parts of Nepal on Wednesday morning, causing panic among the residents. According to reports by the National Emergency Operation Centre of Nepal, earthquakes with magnitudes of 5.2 and 4.3 hit the region. Reports inform that the quake struck Naubise in Dhading District at 6:29 AM and 6:40 AM respectively. According to European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 on the Richter Scale hit Kathmandu at 6:14 AM on Wednesday. No reports of casualties have been reported so far. Earthquake of Magnitude 6.1 on the Richter Scale Hits West Siang in Arunachal Pradesh.
Earlier in the day, the US Geological survey said that a strong earthquake with magnitude of 6.1 hit Northeastern states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday. According to reports, the epicenter of the shallow quake was about 40 kilometres (25 miles) southeast of Along, and 180 kilometres southwest of the state capital Itanagar.

On April 17, a quake of 4.5 magnitude jolted Gorkha district in Nepal. The quake was felt in Gorkha district and surrounding areas around 12:35 p.m, according to the National Seismological Center (NSC). However, there was no report of any damage.
