Dr Peramsetty was one of the founders and the medical director of the Crimson Care Network, a group of local medical officers. In a statement on Facebook, the Crimson Care Network expressed their grief: “As many are aware at this moment, we have been informed of Dr. Ramesh Peramsetty’s passing. The Peramsetty family ask for us to give them privacy as they grieve his passing. They have received abundant outpouring of love and faith. We will continue to honor him as he would want us to do. Dr Peramsetty graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin and Sri Venkateswara Medical College in 1986. With 38 years of experience, he specialised in Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine, working in Tuscaloosa and four other locations. He was also known for his philanthropic efforts, including a donation of INR 14 lakh to Menakuru High School in Andhra Pradesh and contributions towards the construction of a Sai temple in his village. His family in India is currently making arrangements to travel to the US for his final rites.
