London, June 6: In his fresh disparaging remarks against India and China, United States President said the two Asian economic giants have no clean air or water. The two countries, along with Russia, even lack basic sense of pollution and cleanliness, Trump said, adding that he could even name cities in the region where life is unbearable.

Trump's remarks came during an interview with British news broadcaster ITV. On being asked about the US' approach on climate change, the President said his nation has one of the cleanest environments across the world, and is getting better with each passing day. Donald Trump's UK Visit: Here's What US President Gifted The Royal Family

On the contrary, he alleged, "nations like India, China and Russia" are deteriorating the climate with unprecedented emissions and unregulated industrial production.

"China, India, Russia, many other nations, they have not very good air, not very good water, and the sense of pollution and cleanliness," he said.

"If you go to certain cities ...I am not gonna name these cities, but I can. If go to certain cities, you can't even breathe," he said adding, "They don't do the responsibility."

Trump told the channel that he had a detailed interaction with Prince Charles on the issue of climate change. While he praised the UK monarch for his environmental concerns, the President reiterated that his regime would not consider re-joining the Paris Climate Agreement.

Trump's predecessor Barack Obama made US a signatory to the pact in 2015. However, the new American administration in 2017 pulled out of the deal calling it lopsided and unduly benefiting emerging economies like India and China.
