Donald Trump Offers to Mediate Again in Kashmir Issue if India And Pakistan Agree, Says 'I Trust Imran Khan'
USA President Donald Trump made a statement again that he is willing to mediate between India and Pakistan on the Kashmir issue, provided both sides agree. He also boasted himself, stating that he can be a 'good arbitrator'. Trump hoped that both countries -- India and Pakistan -- sort out matters soon. He also mentioned that he trusts Imran Khan.
New York, September 23: United States of America President Donald Trump on Monday made a statement again that he is willing to mediate between India and Pakistan on the Kashmir issue, provided both sides agree. He also boasted himself, stating that he can be a 'good arbitrator'. However, he called Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech as a very aggressive statement and hoped both countries (India and Pakistan) sort out matters soon.
Addressing a joint conference with Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, the US President hoped that India and Pakistan come together on the issue of Kashmir. He stated that he is willing to lend his mediating hands. Trump even claimed that he is a very good arbitrator'. He said, "I have a very good relationship with Prime Minister Khan (Imran Khan) and PM Modi (Narendra Modi). I am a good mediator, and I will mediate if there is assent from the other side." However, taking a U-turn, Trump called Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech very aggressive. He said, "I would like to see everything work out. I want everybody to be treated well. There are two big countries... I heard a very aggressive statement yesterday (During Howdy Modi event). I didn't know I was gonna hear the statement. I was sitting there, and I heard a very aggressive statement yesterday from India, from the Prime Minister, and I would say that was very well received within the room."

Earlier in August, Trump had offered to mediate in the Kashmir, which was quashed by India as the Ministry of External Affairs called this a bilateral issue between India and Pakistan. It is it be known that the relations between India and Pakistan deteriorated after the Pulwama terror attack in February. Following Article 370 abrogation, the relations between India and Pakistan became awry.
