Perth, September 21: In a shocking incident, an Australian woman was mauled by her two rottweilers last Saturday. She had flooded her social media page with loving messages for her two dogs before they viciously attacked her in Australia.
31-year-old Nikita Piil was due to undergo surgery to save her arm this week after her pet dogs, Bronx and Harlem, turned on her outside her Perth home on Saturday afternoon.
According to a report in New York Post, neighbours saw the attack and tried to use leaf blowers, hoses and bats to fight the dogs off but were unable to do so. Local news outlets reported that the dogs continued to maul their owner until police arrived and intervened. Bryn Spencer victim’s neighbour told 7News that he and another neighbour heard Piil screaming for about 10 minutes before police turned up.
"I was contemplating jumping the fence and getting in there to rescue her but obviously there were two Rottweilers in there, I would have been ripped apart," he said.
"All I could really do was watch this girl get mauled apart while I was smacking the fence with a bat, while another neighbour was hosing the dog."
Officers attempted to taser the dogs, however, ended up shooting them, leaving one of them with significant injuries.
