Dawood Ibrahim’s Key Aide Jabir Moti Detained by UK Security Agencies in London
Jabir, a Pakistani national, holds a ten-year visa to the United Kingdom and shares a common financial interest with Dawood's family members. Reports inform that Moti is involved in investment in Dawood's businesses which spans across Pakistan and areas covering the Middle East, the UK and Europe, Africa and countries of South East Asia.
London, August 19: Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's finance manager Jabir Moti was on Sunday detained by UK security agencies in London. Moti is a Pakistani National and is believed to be in charge of D-Company finances. Reports inform that Moti was detained from the Hilton Hotel on Friday by London Police and was later produced before the court. Jabir, a Pakistani national, holds a ten-year visa to the United Kingdom and shares a common financial interest with Dawood's family members.
According to reports, Moti is involved in investment in Dawood's businesses which spans across Pakistan and areas covering the Middle East, the UK and Europe, Africa and countries of South East Asia. According to an ANI report, Jabir is playing a key role in actively exploring the option of movement of Dawood Ibrahim's family to the UK.
The report further informed that Moti, himself owns property in the residential compound owned by Dawood's family in Karachi. It has been revealed that of late, he was also looking for dual nationality status in Barbados and Antigua and the Dominican Republic and a Permanent Resident status in Hungary.
It must be noted that Moti was managing Dawood’s investment portfolios in the UK, UAE, and other countries. With the detention of his finance manager and custodian of his dark secrets, the law has moved a step closer to bringing Dawood Ibrahim to justice for the 1993 Mumbai Serial Bomb Blasts.
In what is believed to be a major achievement for London police, Jabir was detained after tedious work by them on investigating the financial links leading from Jabir Moti to Dawood, his wife and other close members of his family in Karachi and Dubai.
According to a report by ANI, Moti shares a common financial interest with Dawood's wife Mahajabeen, his son Moeen Nawaz and his daughters Mahrookh, Mehreen and his sons-in-law, Junaid (son of former Pak Cricketer Javed Miandad) and Aurangzeb. Dawood's youngest daughter Mazia is unmarried.
