Danish Man Rapes Drunk Daughter on His Wedding Night, Claims He ‘Mistook Her for His New Wife’

Kolding, January 12: In an appalling case from Denmark, a Danish man was convicted for allegedly raping his daughter on his own wedding night. The accused claimed that he mistakenly thought his daughter for his wife. According to sources, the 50-year-old father was hosting his reception party when his 20-year-old daughter drank too much in the bridal suite and was taken to the newlyweds’ room by her father and another guest. According to Danish Media, at midnight the man grabbed his daughter. The victim tried to stop him but the latter forced sexual intercourse despite her begging him to stop several times. Prosecutors in court told that the 20-year-old couldn't defend herself as she was an intoxicated state. Later in the following days, the father claimed over text that he had mistaken her for his wife.

"I think we should cease all contact," the daughter wrote, reported Ekstra Bladet. "What you have subjected me to is something I cannot accept. I asked you nicely to stop and you continued. I shouted you continued, I hit you, you continued," she added. The father responded saying, "I’m sorry. It was a mistake. I’m sorry. I thought it was [wife’s name]. Can’t we try to stay in touch? I’m sorry."

The man has been found guilty of rape and has been convicted for two years and six months in Prison.
