California, July 4: Craig Turner, the eldest son of music legend Tina Turner, died after reportedly committing suicide on Tuesday. The cause of death is reported to be a "gunshot wound" which he is suspected to have inflicted upon himself using a revolver, the said the police of Studio City, where he apparently ended his life.
The autopsy report is awaited to confirm the exact cause of death. The 59-year-old was reeling under stress, US media said citing sources.
At the time of his death, Tina Turner was in Paris to attend the ongoing fashion week.
The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office, while issuing a statement to the reporters, said the investigators are treating it as a case of suicide as of now. The post-mortem report will further clear the doubts, the statement added.
Craig was a long-time player in California real estate, with his business based in San Fernando Valley. His death has come as a major shock to Turner.
