"In the letter, President Xi noted the great importance he attached to the development of India-China relations and his desire to work with PM Modi to take the Closer Development Partnership between the two countries to a new height,” said the Ministry of External Affairs. The counting of the votes for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections are underway. According to the latest trends, the NDA is leading on 343 seats, while the Congress is ahead on only 90 seats. The parliamentary polls in the country were held in the seven phases from April 11 to May 19.
