Chicago, July 22: At least 11 people were hospitalised after shooting in Chicago's Gresham neighbourhood, according to US media. The shooting took place in the 1000 block of W. 79th St., a Chicago Police Department spokesman posted on Twitter.
The Chicago Tribune reported that according to witnesses, it appeared multiple weapons were used in in the shooting. US: Shooting at Virginia Mall, One Left Injured.

According to NBC Chicago report, the Chicago authorities informed that the shooting started when someone in a black vehicle opened fire on people attending a funeral on the block.
Neighbours heard several gunshots before seeing victims in the street outside of the funeral home.

People at the funeral, in turn, fired back and the vehicle crashed midway down the block, authorities said. More details on this news are awaited.
