Mumbai, September 2: A 64-year-old British man was confirmed dead by the local police in Palma, Spain, after he allegedly plunged from a car park in the Majorca capital on September 1. The incident was reported to the police after a few tourists around witnessed the man plunge from the skylight in the sixth floor of a building near the famous Saratoga Hotel in Palma.

Emergency responders arrived on the scene soon but were unable to save the man after his fall. The witnesses near the car park then reported the fall to the police at around 2 PM local time. The police arrived at the scene and confirmed that the dead was a British national, around 64 years old. However, no further details about him have surfaced yet. The police could not confirm if the man was a resident of Majorca or a tourist from the UK. The Mirror reported that as per the preliminary investigations, the man's jump from the car park is not currently being treated as a crime. Although no confirmed reports of foul play were involved, further investigations are being carried out and possibilities remain open. This was not the only such incident reported from Majorca. On August 27, another British took a fall from the first floor of a property near Sant Llorenc des Cardassar, close to the Love Island villa in Majorca. The 15-year-old girl suffered severe injuries from the fall. She was rushed to the hospital nearby and saved later.
