New York, October 12: In a shocking incident, two kids and two dogs were attacked by an "aggressive" bobcat in two separate incidents in northeast Georgia on Friday, October 6, 2023. The officials have warned locals that the animal may still be in the area. The authorities have also launched an operation to catch the bobcat and release it in the dense forest, away from human settlements.

According to the New York Post report, According to Oglethorpe County Fire and Rescue spokesperson Cody Gibbs, on Friday at 6:30 pm, an aggressive bobcat was reported in the area of Winterville, a rural community just outside of Athens. Gibbs told USA Today that two dogs were attacked in the same area the night before the bobcat attacked the children. The conditions of the dogs are unknown at this time. Gibbs suspects that it’s the same animal that attacked all of them, as both descriptions given by the parents of the children matched. One of the victims, a three-year-old girl named Crystal, was playing outside her house when the cat pounced. "The cat was dragging her under the car when Crystal's mother arrived and pulled her to safety," the girl's grandfather, Michael Scoggins, said. The girl suffered non-life-threatening injuries, including scratches and a single bite in the attack. She was taken to a local hospital.
