Islamabad, July 21: At least six policemen were killed after a blast at a hospital in Pakistan's Dera Ismail Khan on Sunday. According to local media reports, an unspecified number of terrorists opened fire on a police post and then bombed the entrance of Trauma Centre of District Headquarter Hospital in Dera Ismail Khan.

Motorcycle-borne gunmen opened fire on police in a residential area, killing two, and then targeted the entrance to the hospital, killing another four, senior police officer Salim Khan told news agency AFP. The Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack. Imran Khan-Donald Trump Meet: US President Wants Pakistan to Take 'Irreversible' Action Against Terror Outfits.

It was not immediately clear whether the explosion was caused by a suicide bomber. Further details were awaited.
