New Delhi, July 3: Five Pakistani Army soldiers were killed and another injured on Wednesday, July 3, in an "explosive blast in Barnala, AJ&K, Chamb Sector few meters from LOC [Line of Control]", said Pakistani military's media wing in a press release. The blast took place at Chamb sector of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK), which is few metres away from the Line of Control (LoC). 'Pakistan Violated Ceasefire 1,248 Times in Past Six Months,' Says Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in Rajya Sabha.
According to Pakistani media, the deceased were identified as Subedar Muhammad Sadiq, Sepoy Muhammad Tayyab, Sepoy Zohaib, Nk Sher Zaman, and Sepoy Ghulam Qasim. The Pakistan Army has accused India of violating bilateral ceasefire agreement and the international rules. But, without any evidence.
Meanwhile, In last six months, 1248 ceasefire violations were done by Pakistan along the Line of Control (LoC) in which four Indian Jawans lost their lives, said Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in Rajya Sabha. Last year, Pakistan had violated ceasefire 2,936 times in Jammu and Kashmir. On average, eight ceasefire violations cases were daily reported in 2018.
