Tasmania, October 29: In a shocking incident in Tasmania, Australia, a man attacked his wife and brother with a shovel after catching them in a compromising position inside a car, all while his mother sat in the front seat. The 41-year-old accused, David McCulloch, was overcome with rage when he found his wife, Jacinta King, having sex with his brother, Jamie McCulloch, following a series of unanswered phone calls. After hearing the case in detail, a court in Australia sentenced David to three years in prison for his violent actions.

As per the New York Post report, the incident began when David grew suspicious of his wife's whereabouts and attempted to contact her multiple times, only to be met with silence. Concerned for her safety, he decided to track her down, ultimately leading him to a parking lot near his brother's apartment. Fueled by anger and betrayal, David confronted his brother first, delivering a series of punches before shifting his focus to his wife, striking her repeatedly. As per the report, witnesses reported that he then retrieved a shovel from his vehicle, using it as a weapon against both his wife and brother while threatening to kill them. The situation spiralled out of control, resulting in injuries that required hospitalisation for both King and Jamie. During the court proceedings, the judge acknowledged the emotional turmoil that must have led to David's violent reaction, referring to the incident as a significant breach of trust among family members. Despite the circumstances, Justice Tamara Jago highlighted the seriousness of his actions, resulting in his conviction on multiple assault charges. In addition to his prison sentence, David also faced charges of possessing cannabis and a firearm.
