Islamabad/New Delhi, August 7: A day after Narendra Modi government scrapped Article 370 - providing special status to Jammu and Kashmir - Pakistan's Science and Technology Minister Fawad Chaudhry requested his Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi to cut ties with India. Chaudhry was of the opinion that when Pakistan should call off their envoy from India and vice versa.

Expressing his opinion on the diplomatic relations with India, Chaudhry stated, as quoted by news agency ANI, "I request the Foreign Minister, when India is not interested in talking to us then why is their envoy still here? We should cut diplomatic ties with them. What is the use of their envoy being here and our envoy being there?" Imran Khan Says India May Face 'Another Pulwama' in Retaliation to Article 370 Abrogation, Calls Modi Govt 'Racist'

Earlier, there were reports that though appointing new envoy for India, Mueenul Haq might not land in India. haq was appointed by Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan after former High Commissioner Sohail Mahmood was appointed the 30th Foreign Secretary of Pakistan.

According to the statement of Chaudhry, it was depicted that as India is not interested in diplomatic talks, Pakistan should also not try for it. Earlier, while addressing the Pakistan parliament, Imran Khan too had stated that despite his numerous ties for diplomatic debate, India rejected it.

Soon after the Modi government scrapped the special status of Jammu and Kashmir state and bifurcated it into two Union Territories - i) Jammu and Kashmir and ii) Ladakh - Pakistan called the Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan Ajay Bisaria for briefing.

Khan even made a statement that on Tuesday claiming that India's latest move - to abrogate Article 370 - might result in another Pulwama. He opined that abrogation of Article 37O depicts the 'racist ideology' of India, as all dialogues to establish peace with the neighbouring country were quashed by ruling Indian dispensation.
