Rome, October 22: Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, on Friday, October 20, announced her decision to part ways with long-time partner Andrea Giambruno, a journalist by profession. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Giorgia Meloni said, "My relationship with Andrea Giambruno, which lasted almost 10 years, ends here." She further stated that their paths diverged for some time, and it was time to "acknowledge it" while announcing her separation.
The 46-year-old Italian Prime Minister's decision to separate from partner Andrea Giambruno after a 10-year-long relationship came after the television journalist drew criticism for his sexist comments. In recent weeks, Andrea Giambruno, who hosts the "Diario del Giorno" show on the Italian free-to-air television channel Rete 4a was under flak when on his show in August, he said that women could avoid rape by not getting too drunk.
