Hussain is a British Pakistani fugitive. He took asylum in the United Kingdom in 1991 following an attack on his life. In 2015, The Lahore High Court banned his media coverage, airing of his images and speeches was banned across all electronic and print media. In June this year, he was arrested in London over a hate speech in 2016 in which he had urged his followers to take the law into their own hands.
Hussain has always criticised the Partition of India in 1947. His party found large support in Karachi from the Muslims who were migrated from India during the partition.
