Stockholm, November 29: Nearly 179 passengers on board an Air India Delhi-Stockholm flight AI 167 had a narrow escape on Wednesday at Stockholm airport after one wing of the aircraft was reported to be damaged. According to a tweet by ANI, the Air India flight hit the airport terminal building at Stockholm's Arlanda airport. No injuries or casualties were reported, police informed. The cause of the accident was not immediately known, police said. However, an investigation has been initiated. The aircraft was grounded and all the passengers were shifted to the other carrier of Air India. Reports inform that the Air India Cockpit crew was taken off duty. According to a PTI report, the mishap took place at 5:45 pm (1645 GMT), about 50 meters (yards) from Terminal 5, the main terminal for international flights. According to pictures available, the Boeing aircraft parked on the runway with the very tip of its left wing stuck in the side of a building.
