Kabul, June 4: An explosion was reported in Baghlan province of Afghanistan on Tuesday. The blast took place during Eid prayers in the town of Nehrein. As per reports, two people were killed while 14 others were injured in the blast. Till now no terror group has claimed the responsibility of the blast. Earlier in May this year, 13 people were killed in northern Baghlan province of the country after Taliban fighters stormed a police headquarters in the province. Twenty people were also wounded in the attack. The gun battle began after a Taliban terrorist blew himself up at the entrance of the police compound in Pul-e-Khumri. According to reports, around 200 civilians were killed in a series of Taliban attacks in various parts of Afghanistan during the month of Ramadan. More than 300 people were also wounded in these attacks. Despite ongoing peace talks with the United States, the Taliban had refused to a ceasefire with the Ashraf Ghani government. However, last year, a ceasefire was observed by the Taliban during the holy month.
