2 US Army Soldiers Killed in Helicopter Crash
As per the army officials, AH-64E Apache helicopter crashed on Friday night at about 9:50 PM (local time) in a training area at the Campbell Army post near the Kentucky-Tennessee line.
Washington D.C, Apr 8: Two soldiers of the United States Army have been killed in a helicopter crash during a training session at Fort Campbell, army officials said on Saturday.
As per the army officials, AH-64E Apache helicopter crashed on Friday night at about 9:50 PM (local time) in a training area at the Campbell Army post near the Kentucky-Tennessee line.
"This is a day of sadness for Fort Campbell and the 101st Airborne. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families during this difficult time" Fox News quoted Brigadier General Todd Royar, acting senior commander of the 101st Airborne Division and Fort Campbell, as saying.
The deceased were the members of the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell.
The names of the soldiers have not been released yet. The cause is under investigation.
