Johannesburg, Jul 24: The heads of Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa are all set to meet in Johannesburg for the 10th BRICS summit, to be held from July 25 to July 27.The theme of this year's summit is 'BRICS in Africa: Collaboration for inclusive growth and shared prosperity in the fourth industrial revolution'.
Here is the schedule of the three-day event:
July 25- BRICS Business Forum will be organised
July 26- BRICS Leaders' meeting and Retreat
July 27-BRICS-Africa Outreach and BRICS-Plus Initiative
The Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC), set up by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, in a statement said that the theme for the Summit is focused on strengthening the relationship between BRICS and Africa. The BRICS leaders will also interact with African leaders on July 27 to discuss about the "inclusive growth" and "shared prosperity" in the region.

The head of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) has also been invited at the Summit.
Apart from this, the BRICS-Plus Initiative aims to reach out to fellow developing and emerging market economies. Following leaders will be attending the BRICS-Plus Initiative in Johannesburg.

The BRICS Summit will culminate in the adoption of the 'Johannesburg Declaration', which will include the joint commitments for the year ahead.
South Africa has proposed for establishment of a Working Group on Peacekeeping, a Vaccine Research Centre for Collaboration with BRICS vaccine innovation and development partners, a BRICS Gender and Women's Forum, leveraging the Strategy for BRICS Economic Partnership towards the pursuit of Inclusive Growth and Advancing the 4th Industrial Revolution and a BRICS Tourism Track of Cooperation for adoption in the upcoming Summit.
