The Jamaican sprinter won the Laureus World Sportswoman of the Year 2023 after winning a gold medal in 100m sprint at the World Athletics Championship last year.

Catherine Debrunner

The Swiss athlete won Laureus World Sportsperson of the Year with a Disability Award. Debrunner had clinched several victories in 2022. "I must say I'm completely speechless to be here," she said.

The American-born Chinese freestyler skier won the World Action Sportsperson of the Year award. At just 18, Gu became the youngest freestyle skiing Olympic champion. Also, she is the first to win three medals at a single Olympic Games.
