Yemen: Over 80 Killed, Hundreds Injured In Stampede During Charity Event In Sanaa

More than 80 people were killed and hundreds injured due to a stampede at a charity distribution event in Yemen. Houthi officials said that this was one of the deadliest stampedes in a decade, reported AFP. The incident took place in the Old City in the centre of Sanaa. This tragedy hits the war-torn nation ahead of Eid al-Fitr. At least, “85 were killed and more than 322 were injured” a Houthi security official told AFP. People had gathered in large numbers to receive handouts. The deceased & the injured have been moved to nearby hospitals. Watch the video to know more.
