World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day are annually celebrated on May 8, commemorating the birth anniversary of Henry Dunant, the founder of Red Cross and International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). The day is dedicated to helping people in different calamitous situations, natural or manmade.
