World Bank Slashes India’s Growth Forecast To 6% For 2019-20, Warns Of Severe Economic Slowdown

The World Bank on Sunday, October 13 slashed its growth forecast for India’s current fiscal year to six percent. It has come down from 7.5 percent. This comes as a warning that severe slowdown could further weaken the country's financial sector. The World Bank said that the economy is expected to recover gradually, growing at 6.9 percent in the fiscal year 2020/21 starting April.
