WHO Says India Had 47 Lakh Excess Deaths Due To Covid-19, Indian Govt Refutes Calculations By Health Body

India has refuted the calculations done by the World Health Organisation to calculate the number of Covid-19 deaths in the country. India said the “figure is totally removed from reality,” reported NDTV. In its report released on May 5, WHO said between January 2020 and December 2021, there were 47 lakh excess Covid-19 deaths in India, reported NDTV. As reported by NDTV, in 2020, India recorded 4,74,806 deaths as excess, meaning over and above normal, under the Civil Registration System. Watch the video to know more.
