Virat Kohli's Daughter Threatened After Team India Skipper's Post In Support Of Mohd Shami, DCW Takes Cognizance

On November 2, Delhi Commission for Women issued a notice to the Delhi police urging them to take action against those responsible for the online rape threats to the daughter of Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli. Swati Maliwal, Chairperson, Delhi Commission for women tweeted, “The way the nine-month-old was threatened on Twitter is very shameful." She urged the Delhi police to share information regarding the probe in the case. Maliwal said, “The team has made us proud thousands of times, why this silliness in defeat.” DCW has sought information, including a copy of the FIR, details of the accused, and also a detailed action taken report, in the case. Comments against Virat Kohli and actor Anushka Sharma’s nine-month-old daughter Vamika started doing the rounds on social media after India's loss to Pakistan in the T20 World Cup in Dubai.
