Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat's campaign at the Paris Olympics met with a heartbreaking end after she was disqualified for being overweight. She was disqualified from the women’s 50kg event as she was found 50 kg 100 grams on Wednesday, August 7. Following the setback, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to IOA President PT Usha and told her to file a strong protest over the decision.
