Victory Day of Bangladesh is celebrated every year on December 16 to commemorate the victory of the allied forces over the Pakistani forces in the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. This day is also commemorated across India as the Vijay Diwas to honor Indian and Bangladeshi martyrs who laid down their lives to liberate Bangladesh from Pakistan.
