US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo Arrives in India, Russia Arms Deal, H-1B Issue in Focus

United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo arrived in New Delhi today. Secretary Pompeo will meet External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. He was received by US Ambassador to India Kenneth Juster. He will also call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Topics that are likely to figure high in the talks is US opposition to India's $5 billion deal for acquiring S-400 missile system from Russia and H-1B issue. Mike Pompeo's visit marks the third visit to India by a Secretary of State during the Trump administration.
