UNESCO World Heritage List 2024–25: India’s Nomination Will Be ‘Maratha Military Landscapes’, Says Culture Ministry
India's nomination for UNESCO tag for 2024-25 will be 'Maratha Military Landscapes'. The Culture Ministry said in a statement that the twelve components of this nomination are -Salher fort, Shivneri fort, Lohagad, Khanderi fort, Raigad, Rajgad, Pratapgad, Suvarnadurg, Panhala fort, Vijay durg, Sindhudurg in Maharashtra, and Gingee Fort in Tamil Nadu. The statement added that 'Maratha Military Landscapes' "represent an extraordinary fortification and military system envisioned by the Maratha rulers.”
