Ukraine: Russia Says Withdrawing Troops From Crimea After Military Exercise, NATO Says No Evidence Of Moscow Pulling Back Yet

On February 16, Russia said military drills in Crimea had ended. Russia said that soldiers were returning. However, Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary-General, urged Moscow again on February 16, to prove that it is pulling back troops amid tensions. Antony Blinken, US Secretary of State spoke to Sergei Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister. Blinken said they need to see verifiable, credible, meaningful de-escalation. The UK is also not sure about Russia’s claims.
