Tripura: BJP Workers Allegedly Attack Local Newspaper Reporters, Burn Down Cars, Vandalise Office

On September 8, Tripura witnessed unprecedented violence. Allegedly BJP workers vandalised the office of Pratibadi Kalam, a vernacular daily. At least four journalists have been injured in the mayhem. Vehicles were burned down and property damaged. The alleged BJP workers ransacked the premises of the daily in Agartala. They destroyed equipment, documents, as per a police case filed by Anal Roy Chowdhury, Editor and Publisher of Pratibadi Kalam. Reports also suggested that some offices of the CPM were set on fire. Sushmita Dev, Member of the All India Trinamool Congress tweeted, “I condemn the violence in Tripura.” Watch the video to know more.
