Tamil Nadu Announces Strict Lockdown From May 6; Kerala From May 4 & Andhra Pradesh From May 5; What’s Allowed, What’s Not

The Tamil Nadu government on May 3 night announced new Covid-19 restrictions which will be in force between 4 am of May 6 & 4 am of May 20. All government and private offices will be allowed to function with a maximum of 50% workforce. Standalone grocery & vegetable shops will be allowed to function without air-conditioning till noon. Essential services like pharmacies and milk supply will be permitted as usual. Kerala has issued orders imposing restrictions for a week from May 4 to May 9. The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to extend curfew hours in its efforts to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic.
