Stones, Lathicharge As Farmers Protest At Sukhbir Singh Badal's Rally In Moga, Punjab

On September 2, the Moga police in Punjab used water cannons & lathicharge to disperse protesting farmers. The farmers allegedly tried to disrupt a Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) rally led by party chief Sukhbir Singh Badal. At least 50 farmers and around seven policemen were injured in the clashes. Some of the protesters hurled stones in order to enter the venue. The protesting farmers claimed that they were trying to peacefully enter the rally venue. “Sukhbir Singh Badal was scheduled to attend a program at Dana Mandi. Protesters attacked police personnel, some got injured. They also vandalized around 15 vehicles,” Gurdeep Singh, SP (Headquarter), Moga told ANI. Watch the video to know more.
