SpaceX Launches Inspiration4, An All Civilian Astronaut Crew Into Orbit, All About It
On September 16, SpaceX launched its Inspiration4 mission from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. It is an all-civilian crew. This is SpaceX’s first private mission to orbit. It was led by Jared Isaacman, an entrepreneur. This happened for the first time that a rocket went towards the orbit with an all-civilian crew with no professional astronauts. The crew is looking to spend three days circling the world. The four crew members are commander Jared Isaacman, pilot Sian Proctor, mission specialist Chris Sembroski and medical officer Hayley Arceneaux. The success of this journey will add SpaceX to the club of organisations providing space tourism facilities after Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic and Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin.
