Shiv Sena Workers Accused Of Forcefully Imposing Maharashtra Bandh
On October 11, road transport services remained affected & most of the shops were shut across Maharashtra. Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government called for a statewide bandh to protest the killing of four farmers in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri district. Workers of the three ruling parties, Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP protested against the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut claimed the bandh was “100 per cent" successful. Meanwhile, opposition BJP alleged the shutdown was “imposed” on people using government machinery. At many places, protesters forced shopkeepers to shut down their shops in the presence of police personnel. BEST bus services were suspended after incidents of stone pelting at some places in the metropolis. Many of the 'black-yellow cabs' remained off the roads. Watch the video to know more.
