Russian Aircraft Crashes During Training, Pilot And Two Others Dead

A Russian prototype military transport plane Il-112V crashed while carrying out a test flight outside Moscow on August 17. All three crew members on board the flight were killed in the incident, Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation said. The new light military transport plane crashed in a forested area. The plane was coming in for a landing at the Kubinka airfield 45 kilometers (28 miles) west of Moscow, the corporation told the Tass news agency. The plane had two test pilots and a flight engineer on board, none survived the accident as per the corporation. Russian police are investigating the matter.
