International pop star Rihanna on February 2 extended her support to the farmers protesting on the outskirts of Delhi against the centre's agricultural laws. She condemned the internet shutdown aimed at crippling the movement. "Why aren't we talking about this?! #FarmersProtest," tweeted the 'Don't Stop The Music' singer, along with a news article about the internet blockade. She happens to be the fourth most-followed user on Twitter with more than 100 million followers. The tweet sent the singer trending on Twitter with thousands of responses including one from actor Kangana Ranaut. Calling the demonstrators "terrorists", Ranaut, who has 3 million Twitter followers versus Rihanna's over 100 million, said they were trying to divide India & called the singer a "fool". Hollywood actor John Cusack had also tweeted multiple times in solidarity with farmers. Meanwhile, teen climate activist Greta Thunberg has extended her support to the farmers' protest at Delhi borders against the controversial agricultural laws. Watch the video to know more.
