Remembering 26/11 Mumbai Attacks: How Terrorists Attacked The Financial Capital Of India, All You Need To Know

It’s been 13 years since the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks struck the financial capital of India. Ten Pakistani men entered India through the waters and killed at least 166 people. These terrorists belonged to the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). The mastermind of the attacks was Hafiz Saeed. Nine terrorists were killed during the attacks which began around 9:30 pm on November 26, 2008. One terrorist survived, Ajmal Kasab. He was executed in November 2012. They attacked the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) railway station, killing 58 people in 90 minutes. They attacked the Cama and Albless hospital, Taj Mahal Palace, Oberoi Trident Hotel, CafeLeopold and the Nariman House in Mumbai. Chief of the city’s Anti-Terrorism Squad Hemant Karkare, Additional Police Commissioner Ashok Kamte, Army Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan and Vijay Salaskar were among those who lost their lives in the attack.
