Real Madrid beat Villarreal 2-1 to clinch La Liga 2019-20 title with one round of games still to play. A Karim Benzema brace against the Yellow Submarines was enough for Real to seal their 34th league title and first since 2016-17. Their least La Liga title also came under Zinedine Zidane, when he was in his first stint, and similar to this time they had then also stopped Barcelona from winning their third straight league title.
