Rape Victim Who Accused BSP MP Atul Rai Of Sexual Assault Attempts Self-Immolation Outside Supreme Court

The man and the woman set themselves on fire outside the apex court. As per a PTI report, the man sustained 65 per cent burn injuries, while the woman suffered 85 per cent burns. Police officials told PTI that none of them are medically fit to record their police statements. The police told PTI that the woman is from Uttar Pradesh's Ghazipur. The woman was allegedly raped by Atul Rai, Bahujan Samaj Party MP in 2019. Rai was subsequently arrested and has been in judicial custody since the last two years. Deepak Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi) told PTI that a police team deployed at the spot rushed with blankets to save them. The victims were then rushed to the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital for treatment. Watch the video to know more.
