Ramayan Airs Again On Star Plus After Breaking World Record With 7.7 Crore Viewership On Doordarshan

After breaking records on Doordarshan, Ramanand Sagar’s mythological epic Ramayan now airs on Star Plus. The show began its rerun from May 4 on Star Plus and will air every day from Monday to Sunday at 7:30 pm. The 1987 hit television show, Ramayan had already enjoyed a mega successful rerun on Doordarshan in April last month. The show also set a world record! The show recorded a viewership of 7.7 crore on April 16. Ramayan became the number 1 in terms of TRP as per data released by Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India. The show returned to television in March after PM Modi announced a nationwide lockdown. Ramayan Was Written, Directed And Produced By Ramanand Sagar. He Had Made A Total Of 78 Episodes Based On Valmiki’s Ramayana And Tulsidas’ Ramcharitmanas. Recently, a rumour surfaced about actor Arvind Trivedi, who played the role of Raavan in the show. The rumour said that Trivedi has left for heavenly abode.
