Ram Rahim, Dera Sacha Sauda Sect Chief Sentenced To Life Imprisonment In Murder Case

Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, Dera Sacha Sauda chief has been sentenced to life imprisonment in the murder of manager Ranjit Singh nearly two decades ago. Four others, Krishan Lal, Jasbir Singh, Avtar Singh & Sabdil also received the same punishment. Dera head Ram Rahim will also pay Rs 31 lakh fine. 50 per cent of this amount will go to Ranjit Singh's family. Ram Rahim appeared through video-conferencing while others were present in court. Ram Rahim has been lodged in Sunaria Jail in Rohtak district since his 2017 conviction for the rape of two followers. Dera manager & also a follower of the sect, Ranjit Singh, was shot dead in 2002. In 2017, Ram Rahim was awarded 20-year sentence on rape charges. Ram Rahim has also been given another life-term for the murder of journalist Ram Chander Chhatrapati. Watch the video to know more.
