August 19, 2024 marks Raksha Bandhan. The festival celebrates the bond between sisters and brothers. Sisters tie rakhis to their brothers during this festival. Brothers promise to take care of their sisters always and give them gifts. Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings on the special occasion. President Droupadi Murmu extended greetings on the special occasion of Raksha Bandhan. Lok Sabha LoP and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi shared a couple of unseen childhood pictures of himself with his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on this special occasion. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also extended greetings.
