Protesting Farmers Mark One Year At Delhi's Borders, Want Minimum Support Price Law In Winter Session Of Parliament
On November 26, farmers are expected to hold protests at Delhi borders and other parts of the country to mark one year of their protests. The farmers’ have been protesting against the Centre's three controversial farm laws. Recently, PM Narendra Modi announced that the three controversial farm laws would be repealed. Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), an umbrella body of various farm unions, said that thousands of farmers are reaching Delhi to mark one year of the protests. PM Modi repealed the three laws just ahead of critical polls in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. Rakesh Tikait, farmer leader, said the protesters would wait till the laws were formally cancelled in the winter session of parliament starting on November 29.
