Prince Raj, LJP MP Accused Of Rape, Moves Court For Anticipatory Bail

On September 14, an FIR was filed by the Delhi police against Lok Janshakti Party MP Prince Raj, on the complaint of a woman. Prince Raj has moved a Delhi court for anticipatory bail. The woman, reportedly an LJP worker, had complained to the police three months ago. The woman alleged that she had been raped and threatened by Prince Raj, an MP from Samastipur in Bihar. The victim had approached the court in July seeking its intervention in directing the police to register the FIR against the Bihar Parliamentarian and Chirag Paswan, reported Hindustan Times. On June 17, Prince Raj had tweeted a statement denying the allegations. Prince Raj is the cousin of LJP leader Chirag Paswan. Reportedly, Paswan was also named in the first information report (FIR) for allegedly trying to delay police action in the case. The case was filed under sections 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation), 120b (criminal conspiracy) and 201 (destruction of evidence). Watch the video to know more.
