Power Tariff Hike In Karnataka: CM Siddaramaiah Led Congress Government Hikes Electricity Rate By Rs 2.89 Per Unit
Congress government in Karnataka has hiked power tariff by Rs 2.89 per unit. This comes after the Siddaramaiah government promised to provide 200 units of free power under the 'Griha Jyoti' scheme. The hike comes into effect from June. People will have to pay the hiked tariff if they fall in the more than 200 units’ slab. BJP IT Cell Head Amit Malviya slammed CM Siddaramaiah for the hike.
