On February 1, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the Union Budget will benefit everyone. PM Modi denied the opposition's claim that the Union Budget 2022 has nothing to offer to the deprived or the salaried middle class. He said the Budget was people-friendly and progressive. Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “M0di G0vernment’s Zer0 Sum Budget!” West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee tweeted, “Budget has zero for common people, who are getting crushed by unemployment & inflation.” NCP leader Supriya Sule tweeted, “A ‘futuristic ICT budget’, in which we hope the deliverables are a reality, not just VR?!
